Laboratory of diagnostics of the state of the system of morphogenesis

The scientific direction of research is the study of the cell biology that express the marker proteins of epithelial stem and progenitor cells (cancer stem cells) when forming a transformed phenotype in the mouth cavity of people at risk of cancer (tobacco-smoking), in precancerous conditions, and progression to squamous cell carcinoma.
The proteomic study group studies changes in the expression profile of the p53, Ki-67, Bcl-2 and marker proteins of the p53, Cl5 / 14, CD44, ALDH1 biomarker proteins in the cellular layers of the squamous epithelium of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity in the formation of the transformed phenotype; epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity during invasion and progression of the tumor process.
- Priority is to study the biology of the cells expressed in the marker proteins of the epithelial stem cells in the formation of the transformed phenotype in the oral mucosa of persons with a cancer risk (smoking habit), precancerous lesions and oral oral squamous cell carcinoma progression.
Proteome research group studies changes in the expression of the biomarker proteins p53, Ki-67, Bcl-2 and marker proteins of epithelial stem cells p63, Ck5 / 14, CD44, ALDHI, in the cell layers of the squamous epithelium of the oral mucosa in the formation of the transformed phenotype; and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) in the invasion and progression of the tumor process.
